Techniques
The gravy of Sundered Limits, Techniques are specialized powers or moves that you can pull out to give yourself an edge over the competition. Unlike Attributes, techniques have several important specs that you need to pay attention to. What the technique actually DOES is up to you.
Step-by-step guide to creating techniques.
Step 1. Decide on the core attribute. This is the most important attribute in performing the skill. The core attribute must be at least 5 for the first technique, and double that for each technique thereafter (5,10,20…). You may designate more than one core attribute (see below), but no more than the skill’s level plus one (also see below). Each core attribute must fulfill the minimum mentioned above.
Step 2: Create an Ability Point counter. The number of Ability points you have is based on the total of your core attributes.
Step 3: Determine the level of the technique. If it is the first technique to use the core attribute, it is a level 1 technique. If it is the second, it is a level 2 technique. You get the idea.
Step 4: The AP consumed when using a technique is 3 multiplied by 2 for each level of the technique beyond 1. So in order to use a particularly high-level technique, you will need to use multiple core attributes.
Step 5: In order to purchase a technique you must spend 5 credits doubled for each level of the technique past one.
Under this system high level techs become expensive very quickly. It’s much faster to build up on low-level techniques and diversify your attributes.
Techniques are also a great way of applying an attribute that wouldn't ordinarily be applicable to a situation.
Of course, you can only have one technique per level with a core attribute.
So if you get a level 1 Agility technique, the next technique you get using Agility must be level 2. If you got a level 1 Strength, Agility technique then the next technique you get with Agility or Strength is level 2, though you could get a level 2 Strength tech and a level 2 Agility tech.
But if you want a shortcut, there's always Tutorial 3!
